Amy has spent the past 20 years working as a professional singer, dancer and actor around the world. A highlight of Amy's work in NYC was performing as a singer at the historic Radio City Music Hall for several seasons in their Christmas Spectacular starring the Rockettes. Amy has also worked with Tony Award-winning directors and choreographers with favourite musical credits including 42nd Street, Hairspray, Annie, Sunset Boulevard Merrily We Roll Along and Smokey Joe's Cafe whose nine-person cast won the Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Ensemble.
Amy most recently studied voice with Roberta Duchak; Musical Director for the Broadway production of SIX and vocal coach on the movie Les Miserables. She has trained in classical voice with opera singers Rumiana Evrov and Rebecca Schorsch. One of her favorite explorations of voice was the Linklater technique which she studied while obtaining her BFA in Musical Theatre at The Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University where she graduated with Honors.
Amy has been an educator in the arts for the duration of her professional career in both the US and Australia. She loves to share her knowledge of the industry with her students and encourages freedom of sound by exploring the connection of body and voice, building upon our inherent understanding of day-to-day speech.
